Having completed a 13 week IPA Training course at a related premises on behalf of New Deal, I would like to add the following statement: Though the atmosphere within theese centre's may not be to everyone's liking due to the disrespect given by certain groups of or individual clients, there are very possible opportunities to fulfill your own purpose of attendance, this is assisted where possible by the helpful,knowledgeable,kind yet overworked staff. After only 3 weeks of attendance at Seetec from the 13 week course a work placement was arranged for me with a very respectful company in which from previous unemployment has led to full time employment on a respectful salary, This outcome was assisted and arranged by Sue Barker, Her positive nature and proven skills of work methods are of unfailing standards and of real value to each and every individual client she works with. Overall, if you are persistent when attending a Seetec course from New Deal your outcome should be a positive one. My thanks go to the advisers I have worked with, and ill add that negative comments left on this board are undoubtedly from those who do not wish to attend or take part in any form of Seetec but are required to by either the Job Centre or related departments of income support services. I bought a distance learning Dreamweaver course from Seetec. Due to illness I was unable to participate Seetec did not even contact me to find out my circumstances. Disgraceful company, VERY expensive and appalling service and communication I would not recommend them at all.

i think that on this course ive learnt how to put together a CV write speculative letters and apply for jobs online however i think that in the centre you read the papers and then after that if there is no jobs you go one the internet and the jobs only change once or twice a week so being in the centre after the first 3 weeks you only need 2 days to find a job apart from spec letters so try and get on a PLACEMENT like i did and you will find you get a lot more from it as i did i went to Hockley Woods on placement where Graham the supervisor is great down to earth has a great knowledge of the woods and working in verious areas ive learnt a lot from this and will take what ive learnt into the new job im sure to get soon although if you dont want a job then this is a waste of time and money from the government in you doing this but for me i want a job and believe i'll get one so thank you seetec

i am currently in my third weeek of seetec and personally it has helped me loads my personnal advisor has helped me with all aspects of job hunting and obtaining a job I.E fake interviews new clothes help with my c.v and loads of support i think with seetec it depends on who your advisor is and how much you as an individual put into the course.Peace

I am 8 weeks into a "Training" Place at Seetec Chelmsford. Sent along with many other, compulsory. Figure Juggling lol, I'm not registered unemployed for 13 weeks. My main point is overcrowding, sharing the use of a PC getting two one hour slots per day. If you know exactly what Course you need / want maybe than can help. If like me, you think you need a carrer change and would like pointing in the right direction, forget it. You spend your day Browsing Internet Websites Jobhunting and reading the Same weekly Local Newspapers 5 days a week. With the Odd questionaire about Asylem Seekers (Very useful for a Printer that would like to get into IT) to Break up the Boredom.
